   Alt-rock act financed by touring and merch rather than advances. The audience expects confessional DIY energy and bounces off anything corporate, so the site has to convert without ever looking like it is trying to.

2. The approach

   Cyan-and-magenta split display type over a darkened live shot; outlined nav that reads like a sticker; wordmark as an oversized watermark so the fold has depth without a second image.
